Art Classes That Show Just How Creative You Can Be

ART CLASSES, CAMPS & PARTIES

At Leebow, we believe everyone is creative. You just need to find a way to tap your potential.

Our art classes, held in our studio in Courtown or at other venues around Wexford, are an opportunity for children and adults of all ages and abilities to explore art at their own pace — everything from tie-dying and ceramics to drawing and collage.

We teach art in a welcoming, non-competitive environment that encourages creative expression whatever your age, and where the focus is on the process rather than the end result. With guidance from skilled teachers, students are given the space and tools to discover just how creative they can be.

All in a culture of fun and friendship through art.

  • “Lesa is most enthusiastic, encouraging and pleasant towards a beginner like me, I've learned so much”.

    Billie

  • "I hope Lesa will continue to teach our students for many more years. Otherwise I don't know what we will do without her!"

    Avril Toner
    Avril's Language Centre, Gorey

  • "Art class with Lesa was our favourite part of the week."

    Erin
    Parent

  • “Lesa is a joy in the village of the oldies every week. A natural teacher with all of us, her youth and joy for life is wonderful that she brings into the classroom. I wouldn't miss her art class or make another appointment for anyone during this time.”

    Maureen

  • "Lesa makes art fun and manages to tame the most sceptical and rowdy teenager. She has a calmness about her that transfers to the students, and they leave her class proud of their work, and surprised at themselves."

How are our art classes run?

At Leebow, we let our students lead the process, but at all times they’re guided by enthusiastic and skilled professionals. This way they learn to work independently as well as alongside others on collaborative pieces. And they have a great time too!

What's involved?

Classes are generally between 1 and 2 hours long so participants get to try a bit of everything and see what they like. It also gives us time to mix it up with creative play and mediums of every variety: painting, printing, clay, paper construction, collage, textiles, mould making, metalwork and more.

Who are your classes for?

Everyone. We believe art should be inclusive. From toddlers to teens and beyond, we work with adults and children of all ages and abilities. Lesa’s specialty is those with additional needs, including individuals living with autism, stroke, dementia or Alzheimer’s.

What’s covered in the classes?

We offer an introduction to basic art theory, drawing inspiration from well-known artists as well as from nature and the world around us. But we don’t overwhelm you with talk of Michelangelo either. Each class tailors its approach and content to suit the age group involved.

PACKAGES

Our offerings vary with the seasons, but we are always running art classes for kids and adults and Internet Safety workshops for primary schools, secondary schools, parents and teachers. To protect everyone taking part, we make all our classes and camps nut-free zones.
